Dr.
Thomas E. Griffiths
Dr. Thomas
Griffiths was born and raised in Eastern
Michigan. He attended Morehead State University
in Kentucky and then moved back to Michigan to
complete his bachelors degree in Zoology at
Michigan State University. He continued on at
MSU to obtain his doctorate in veterinary
medicine in 1967. Shortly after, Dr. Griffiths
married his wife of 39 years and they had four
children, all of whom still reside in the
southwest Michigan area.
In 1976,
Dr. Griffiths founded Mattawan Animal
Hospital. Dr. Griffiths became certified in
veterinary acupuncture through the International
Veterinary Acupuncture Society. He currently
utilizes acupuncture as a complement to
traditional Western Medicine.
Dr.
Griffiths has a dog and a cat. He has numerous
hobbies including woodworking, traveling,
exercise, reading and Spanish culture.
Dr.
Christine Williamson
Dr.
Christine Williamson was raised in Southwest
Michigan. She obtained her associates degree in
Chemistry from Kalamazoo Valley Community
College. In 1992, she transferred to Michigan
State University where she pursued a bachelors
degree in Physiology. She completed the
Physiology degree in 1995 and then a
post-baccalaureate degree in education in
1998.
Dr.
Williamson and her husband lived in Lansing
while she attended Michigan State University's
College of Veterinary Medicine. After she
graduated in 2002, the couple moved to the
Southwest Michigan where Dr. Williamson began
her fulfilling career at Mattawan Animal
Hospital.
Since
that time, the family has increased to include
children, two retrievers, a cat and a fish. Dr
Williamson enjoys spending time with friends and
family, reading, aerobics, running, and
gardening.
Dr.
Kelly Flanagan
Dr. Kelly Flanagan, MS, DVM, is a graduate of The Ohio
State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Although she's a proud Buckeye, Dr. Flanagan is a native
of the Kalamazoo area. In order to pursue her master's
degree in biology, she moved to Ohio and ended up living
there for ten years. With her family in tow, she moved
back to Southwest Michigan after 20 long years due to her love of
the area and close proximity to family.
Dr.
Flanagan is married to Bill, a herpetologist (reptiles
and amphibians), and they have two adventurous children
that love animals and the outdoors. They have two dogs,
two cats, two snakes, a red-eyed tree frog, poison dart
frog adults and tadpoles, and several fish! She enjoys
bird watching, photography, knitting, and traveling
abroad.
Dr. Flanagan loves working with the great doctors,
staff and clients at MAH. She has special interests in
veterinary dermatology and dentistry and has
additional training in veterinary dentistry and zoo medicine. In addition, she
especially enjoys mentoring students that are interested
in the veterinary field.

Dr. Dawn
Gallagher
Dr. Dawn Gallagher,
DVM, is a 2006 graduate of Iowa State University College
of Veterinary Medicine. She started on her veterinary
path at the Pennsylvania State University where she
received her Bachelors degree in Biology with a Genetics
Concentration. After graduation she started veterinary
school at the
University of Glasgow, Scotland (United
Kingdom), then transferred to ISU to finish her
veterinary degree. Dr. Gallagher has lived all over the
U.S. but after receiving her DVM, moved to Southwest
Michigan to be close to her parents. Her
veterinary interests include neurology and new
puppy/kitten check-ups
Dr. Gallagher enjoys spending time with
her husband, Eric, parents, brother, three dogs and a
cat. She also enjoys horseback riding, traveling,
swimming and reading.

Dr. Lorri L. Stewart
Dr. Lorri L.
Stewart, DVM, is a graduate from the MSU College of
Veterinary Medicine in 1995. She obtained her
Bachelor of Science degree in 1991 from Lenox College in
Galesburg, IL. Dr. Stewart's professional
interests include orthopedics, surgery and exotic animal
medicine.
Married to
David Reiff, Lorri has two stepsons, Daniel and Dylan.
They live on a small farm with five horses, a
pot-bellied pig, four dogs, five cats, two ferrets and
an African Grey Parrot.
Dr. Stewart
enjoys waterskiing, snow skiing, tennis, horseback
riding, and motorcycling. |
