The support staff at Mattawan Animal Hospital include: Front Desk Receptionists, Veterinary Assistants, and Licensed Veterinary Technicians.  We are here to serve our doctors, clients and patients with the utmost care and integrity.  Our resolve is to see each and every one of our companion animal friends to live a happy and healthy life.

     Cathy

Cathy enjoys the satisfaction of knowing that the veterinarians and staff of Mattawan Animal Hospital are helping care for, treat and prevent medical issues.  She finds the human-pet bond truly amazing!  Her cat, Patches, has been a friend for over 17 years.  Working at MAH over many years - beginning as a teenager, through her college years and up to today - has demonstrated her love for the job.  She cannot imagine working anywhere else!  As office manager, she appreciates how every individual staff member works together to create an energetic, fun and creative team along with a "family" feel.  Enjoys scrapbooking and reading.


 

  
Kristen
and Harlow

Kristen is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and a graduate from Purdue University.  She can never picture her life working outside of the veterinary medicine field!  With over fifteen years experience, she began her career at MAH in 2004.  She has a special interest in client education involving Diabetes and Animal Separation Anxiety.  She loves seeing the bond and loyalty between German Shepherds and their owners.  Enjoys gardening, Chicago, teaching tricks to her pet rats and making people laugh. Always the Chicago Cubs Fan!! Let's Go Cubbies, Let's Go!


Stephanie, Abbie and Bella

Stephanie is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and is a graduate from Baker College. She has always had an interest in veterinary medicine growing up and is excited to be starting her career at an animal hospital that is truly devoted to all its patients and staff. She loves coming to work and being able to educate owner’s on how to help their sick animals get well and helping with new puppy and kitten visits!  Her dogs Bella and Abbie are her companions. Enjoys reading, hanging out with friends and family, watching movies and traveling.


     Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and a graduate from Baker College.  She also has a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Western Michigan University.  She started working at MAH in June of 2016.  Kaitlyn has a love for all creatures, especially her tow dogs, Oscar and Porter. Enjoys going to the beach, kayaking, hot yoga, and being outside with her husband.


    Katy

Katy is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and a graduate from Baker College.  she has been working in the veterinary field for since 2010, and started at MAH in January of 2017.  Katy has a love for cats, especially her own, George. Enjoys fishing, kayaking, hiking and spending with her family.


     Becky

Becky has over thirteen years experience under her belt in many facets of the veterinary medicine field. Her pets, Roscoe, Lilly, Sophie, Hannah, along with two geckos and twelve fish keep her very busy!  She always looks forward to working with all the "furry, huggable, lovable" animals.  She finds it very rewarding to help sick animals become well again.  Interacting with MAH's many wonderful clients make her day!  Enjoys scrapbooking, bowling with her husband, paintball and playing with her children.


   

 

     Shannon

 

 

 


Shannon is a graduate of WMU with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications.  She began working at MAH in 2014.  She loves seeing all of the cute pets and working with her awesome co-workers.  Enjoys spending time with her family and Poodle, Mazie.


     Bridgette

Bridgette has had an interest in animals since a very young age.  Since 1990, she has been involved in 4-H and Community Service.  She has a love for Guinea Pigs and is an Assistant Superintendant for Pocket Pets at The Van Buren Youth Fair.  Every day she looks forward to coming into work to see all of the fur-babies and her amazing co-workers. Enjoys reading, being outside, spending time with her family (including their dog, Dozer), and anything involving Michigan State! GO GREEN, GO WHITE!!


     Brandi


 

 

     Allison and Bella


 

Allie is a graduate of Mattawan High School.  She began volunteering at Mattawan Animal Hospital in the fall of 2009, and is now thrilled to be working there!  At home Allie has two cats, Boo and Miracle, and two dogs, Ellie and Bella Rose.  She also fosters dogs for Kalamazoo Animal Rescue.  Between all the pets, her house occasionally turns into a three-ringed circus, but she wouldn't want to change a thing!   Because of her love for working with animals, she is pursuing further education in veterinary medicine.  Enjoys traveling, taking her dogs for walks, spending time with friends and family and watching the Red Wings.
